Organisation Commitment Tranzquip Pty Ltd is committed to safeguarding the health and safety of people and protecting the environment in all areas of our operations. Health, Safety and Environmental concerns at Tranzquip will be pursued within current legal, social and moral requirements to enable best practices consistent with our vision of "No Injuries and Value the Environment", whilst fostering a Safe and Environmentally conscious and continual improvement culture. Objectives To develop and maintain an effective Safety Management system to ensure a safe working environment and minimal harm to the environment by; Organisational Responsibilities The Managing Director accepts overall responsibility to show leadership in promoting the importance of having a healthy, safe and environmentally conscious workplace and culture. To enhance continuous improvement in and to ensure that Health Safety and Environment objectives, systems and resources are in place, enabling compliance with Health, Safety and Environment legislation and codes of practice, appropriate to the jurisdictions in areas of the company's operation. The Business Manager is responsible for the development, maintenance and ongoing review of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System, provision of advice regarding objectives, strategies and management of the system, effective communication and leadership of Health, Safety and Environment issues. The Transport Supervisor is responsible for acting on the company's Health, Safety and Environment objectives, implementing risk management processes into daily work practices of supervising, communicating, consulting and training employees to ensure a safe workplace. Employees and contractors are responsible for ensuring that their working environment will not negatively affect the health and safety of themselves or others. They are also responsible for reporting hazards and incidents and to participate in establishing and implementing hazard control measures and to operate within required guidelines. Employees and contractors are prohibited to conduct work that they consider to be unsafe. Under the OHS Act 1985, Section 21 (1), requires (an employer shall provide and maintain so far as practicable for employees a working environment that is safe and without risks to health) and (to provide adequate facilities for the welfare of employees at any workplace) Managing Director: Aren Farrington | |
